ArabesqueArabesque

Op.10 - 2 Impromptus

Impromptus generally consist of long unbroken melodic lines, marked by a highly lyrical character.
Impromptus generally consist of long unbroken melodic lines, marked by a highly lyrical character.

First set of two impromptus :

No.1 in F♯ minor
No.2 in A Major

With his first impromptus, Scriabin finally completed his journey through all of Chopin’s forms (Waltz, Sonatas, Mazurkas etc.) .

The first one is a delicate and melancholic piece, while the second, full of charming arabesques is already Scriabin-esque, with a sort of longing pace.
