Op.27 - 2 Preludes

With a greater lyrical expressionism, meditative contemplation and refinement of the harmonies, this set definitely opens a new aesthetic in Scriabin’s output. The real revolution would appear in the Sonata No.4 two years later.
The first, marked patetico is a short and tragic emotional piece, with well-developed counterpoint.
The second, floating in a continuum, is a meditative poem in a miniaturist conception (lasting barely one minute).
