First set of the last creative period, in two pieces:

No.1 – Poème
No.2 – Prelude

The first piece is a melody floating in the continuum, full of restrained emotions and mysticism. It ends in a similar ways as the last Poem “Vers La Flamme” op.72, though with a far less cataclysmic gesture. The second piece is its antithesis - hermetic and rhythmic - reminiscent of Bartok’s dryness and foreshadowing some of the aggressiveness of the Sonata No.6 Op.62.
