Op.61 - Poème-Nocturne
Longest poem for the piano in Scriabin’s output, almost like a condensed sonata. Although less diabolical than the following opus Sonata No.6, it possess the same sinister atmosphere, wandering vision of shadows intertwined with sensual flights. A sort of impressionistic mix of Debussy’s ornamentation, Chopin’s bass in the nocturne style, Liszt dark Romanticism and his very personal mysticism.
