The mystic feeling has completely taken over the music of Scriabin in this period. The first piece is a sinuous seduction, like a hidden charm (embodying the piece’s name). The second is capricious, with an ironic temper as we sometimes find in Debussy (who also wrote a Masques) : slightly devilish, full of playfulness and luminous outbursts.
