WoO 10 — Duett 2 in D minor

Scriabin’s second and final vocal piece that is not written for a full choir. The music is sorrowful and restrained - the piano accompaniment remains linear and discreet throughout the whole piece, while the vocal lines are fully Romantic in character.
The text was written by Scriabin himself. Despite the melancholic nature of the music, it is a lyrical declaration of love - possibly, like the Romance Woo 2 , inspired by his first love and muse Natalya Sekerina.
(Translated from Russian)
"Meeting with you, you are my angel,
I can forget the whole world. You are my joy,
Bliss, paradise, earthly idol. Come, come to me soon
Hold me tightly to your chest. Give me your caresses.
Kiss me, caress me harder - I don't like life without you.
Enchant me, I beg you.
