WoO 11 - Mazurka in C major

An unfinished piece from Scriabin’s youth, with only a small fragment surviving. Often associated with his other mazurkas without opus numbers: WoO 14 and WoO 15.
Nonetheless, this is Scriabin’s first known Mazurka, marking a clear inheritance from Chopin through this Polish dance form, after he had already explored most of his other genres (nocturnes, waltzes etc.). The only missing form at that point, the impromptu, would follow af few years later with the Two Impromptus Op.10.
