First collection of “pieces,” a new form of set in which Scriabin mixes poems, preludes, etudes, and free form. Divided into three works:

No.1 - Album Leaf in E♭ major
No.2 - Poème fantasque in C major
No.3 - Prelude in E♭ major

The first piece is composed in the same spirit as poems. The musical line is very lyrical, and the harmonies are relatively conservative for this creative period, with clearly established tonal functions. The second returns to Scriabin’s furtive and abstract style: brief, short, without a particular melody or development, mocking. The last piece is sensual, almost sexually playful. The mystic chord is already diluted in diverse forms: a harmonic revolution is evolving.
